The Centre enjoys a wealth of willingness.

If it wasn’t for our team of much valued volunteers we would struggle to deliver all the great activities and facilities that we do. We hugely appreciate every single hour people give of their time to support us, but we are always interested in having more help.

Do you have a skill or passion you would love to share? Or simply have some free time? Come and see us. We have opportunities galore: from helping welcome Centre users, assisting with pre-school or youth activities, helping with fundraising events, gardening or DIY/maintenance. Or share your music, language or IT skills with others. We’d particularly love it if you’ve got skills in areas of Minecraft, Raspberry Pi Coding, Chess and making fab coffees when our excellent Centre Staff are having some well earned down time!

We understand your time is precious and, much as we'd love you to, not everyone has time to volunteer at the Centre. However, if you have a skill that you think could help 'behind the scenes', for example event planning, fundraising, marketing, to name but a few areas, please feel free to reach out.

The benefit of volunteering isn’t just a one-way-street. It provides volunteers with opportunities to share skills and learn new ones, whilst giving something back to their community. For young people wishing to volunteer, we work closely with Duke of Edinburgh and Saltire award students. They gain valuable experience to take with them into the world of work and beyond.

Volunteer opportunities are all subject to receiving relevant PVG checks.

Opening Hours: 9.30am - 8.30pm

Coffee Bar: Mon-Fri from 9.30am - 3.00pm (sometimes later!)

Saturday

9.00am -1.00pm

Sunday

11.00am - 1.00pm

The hours above are our core business hours. However as our varied weekend activity schedule is evolving and expanding, we are often open for longer than the above at weekends. If you'd like to visit outside of these times, we'd love to welcome you; just check we are here before stopping by!
