Dechen Scotland offer meditation classes every other Wednesday from 6.30-7.30pm in the Sensory Room at the Dunblane Centre. These classes are open to all, whether you’re new to meditation and Buddhism or have some experience.
Classes will have a period of meditation, guided by the group leader, followed by a brief talk about basic Buddhist concept and the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Sessions are open to people of all beliefs or none.
You don’t need to be Buddhist to attend and join in with meditative practice. There will be a small table with a Buddha statue; you might see some people who are already Buddhists bow down in front of the statues at the start of the class to show respect. However please don’t worry – there is no expectation to do this.
Dress comfortably and feel free to bring a cushion to sit on, although there will be chairs and spare cushions available.
A suggested donation of £3 is encouraged to help cover running costs.
Upcoming dates can be found on the Dechen Scotland website here. As sessions are fortnightly we encourage you check before travelling.
